Look at the hands! You have to cut the linden wood in the middle of winter and dry it slow for a couple of years to get the massive block of wood stable enough to be able to carve such tiny fingers. Apart from this you have to know the grain structure and of course be able to transform it into an aesthetically beautiful form. That’s why we call it a masterpiece...

About the character:
This Vampire is known in some parts of the world as the Baron of Prague. Barnabas January has the power over other vampires and humans as well. Luckily, our marionette gave up scaring people hundreds of years ago and he’ll be happy to find some cozy spot in your home to relax. Besides his character, there are many details on this marionette that deserve your attention. The whole creation is hand carved from wood and hand painted with great attention to detail. As you can see the wood is very sharp-edged. This style of carving gives this puppet an almost cubist appearence.  Vampire Barnabas rightfully belongs to The best of Czech Marionettes.
