We are an independent theatre ensemble from the Czech Republic
(Central Europe, Planet Earth). We are always glad when we can
perform any of our plays at a festival or at any other occasion.
Our theatre ensemble is called KVELB and was founded in 1997.
We are a non-governmental, non-profit organisation of seven people:
actors, musicians, directors, painters and technicians - all at the
same time.

We live in Ceske Budejovice (Budweis) in Southern Bohemia. We don't
perform a specific kind of plays - we often work with puppets,
we experiment with body movements, music, we like to combine
performances with juggling, walking on stilts, fire performances
as well as with other kinds of art: poetry, dance etc.
We are keen on acting as such and we like to be what we want to be:
this is the main driving force behind KVELB.

An Old Legend
is a one-man show. A quiet poetic play
for one actor, a few puppets, a violin and a flute, uses a lot of person-puppet
dialogues. |

My Bestiary
is a street-only performance, performed by
six actors, some of whom walk on stilts. A story of bizarre creatures,
inspired by a Middle Ages tale. |

They Are Never Wrong At Our Place
A puppet play for spectators of all ages. An action comedy, full
of black humour, played by two actors with puppets, accompanied
by violin, Irish flute and banjo. |
