This traditional rendition of a Rabbi stands roughly 18 inches tall. He is wearing wire-rim glasses, has a bushy, long grey beard and curly locks. He is carrying a scroll in his left hand.

His body is made of wood with wire arms and legs extending to fired ceramic hands and feet. Each marionette is a hand-painted original made of a unique mixture of ceramic and plaster. This particular artist, who has been crafting marionettes in her own soft and serene style for over nine years, uses one of the warmest and softest mixtures we have yet seen.
